Description:
Located in the Ras Al Khair Industrial City, the project comprises a combined cycle co-generation power plant (Phase-1) having five(5) Blocks of combined cycle Units, each block in 2 GTG+2HRSG+1 STG configuration and One block of Simple cycle with 2 GTG units, with a plant capacity of 2,700MW of which 1,350 MW will be supplied to Ma’aden Aluminum Complex.
Features:
- The biggest desalination plant of its kind in the world - capable of producing 728 million liters/ day of desalinated water
- A hybrid plant that employs both multistage flashing (MSF) & reverse osmosis (RO) technologies
