Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company SATORP proposed this project to provide 230kV Power Supply to feed SATORP 230kV Substation in Jubail Industrial City-2.
This project involved installation of Two (2) new 230kV Underground cable circuits from Jubail 2 230/34.5kV Substation-2 up to SATORP 230kV Substation, along with its associated Non-metallic Fiber Optical Cables. Further scope also involves addition/modification of protection, metering, SCADA/SOE and Communication system at Jubail 2 230/34.5kV Substation-2 and at customer SATORP 230kV Substation.
Maize of Petro chemical industries underground utilities, RC infra utilities and water channels existing in given corridor (ROW) posed a big challenge to design economical profile and obtain approval from authorities.

Scope:

Complete design and engineering services which includes preparation of Cable Routing - Plan & Profile, Joint bay (splicing) Locations, Design calculations for SVL selection, Cable pulling tension and Side wall pressure calculations and FOC cable routing drawings and its associated civil design for communication Hand holes / man holes, joint boxes and duct banks. Preparation of MTO, verifying / technical evaluation of vendor design submittals, technical advisory support and preparation of as built drawings.
